It is important to understand that there is not a unified set of customs for a Jewish wedding that is followed by all Jewish people in the world.
Depending on the country of origin of the Bride and Groom, there are numerous Jewish wedding customs which have developed over many centuries in different parts of the world. Some of them were taken from the local population of the country of origin. There are however some unique American Jewish wedding customs which are followed by many American Jews.
